David is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Footbridge Partners. He began his career in investment banking at Credit Suisse in the Financial Sponsors Group, advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on debt, equity and M&A transactions. David then joined Diamond Castle, a private equity fund, where he evaluated, executed and monitored investments across a variety of industries including healthcare, financial services, energy and media. Following Diamond Castle, David attended Harvard Business School, where he & his section mate (Greg) formed a search fund vehicle designed to acquire and operate one lower middle market business. David & Greg searched for, acquired, operated & sold smarTours, a value-oriented tour operator, generating an outsized return for investors. David served as co-CEO and on the Board of Directors from 2013 to 2019.
David is actively involved in the broader search fund community. David is a Visiting Executive at Harvard Business School involved in the Entrepreneurship through Acquisition course (the course on search funds) and is a regular lecturer at other top MBA programs across the country. David also co-authored Yale School of Management cases entitled “A Call to Philanthropy in the Search Fund Ecosystem” and “On the Nature of Building an Internship Program in a Search Fund Project.” He serves on the Board of Directors of four companies on behalf of Footbridge Partners: Softrip, LexShares, 360 Smart Networks, and PerryGolf. He also serves on The Haverford School’s Leadership Council. David lives outside Philadelphia, PA with his wife and two sons.
David graduated from Princeton University, magna cum laude & Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in Economics, and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
